“Caprica“, a brand new series from SciFi that will provide as a prequel to now-done “Battlestar Galactica“, has received seven promotional clips. Set 50 years before “Battlestar”, “Caprica” is dealing with astonishing breakthrough which is taking shape on the planet Caprica.
The rapidly evolving spheres of human and mechanical engineering have collided, along with the fates of two families. Joined by tragedy in an explosive instant of terror, two rival clans led by powerful patriarchs, Joseph Adama and Daniel Greystone duel in an era of questionable ethics, corporate machinations and unbridled personal ambition as the final war for humanity looms.
Although planned to air in 2010, “Caprica” will come to DVD first on April 21 through Universal Studios Home Entertainment (USHH). The DVD will include limited-edition uncut and unrated version of the series as well as bonus features that will take viewers behind the scene. Price is set at $26.98.

First part of the series finale of “Battlestar Galactica” has been given a preview. In “Daybreak: Part 1″, Adama announces that the mission will be launched and nobody is in any obligation to join it, but it’s likely to be a one-way trip.
The first part will air March 13 and the second one which will provide as the end of the series, follows the next week. A TV movie called “The Plan” has been prepared for a two-hour telecast right after the finale. It will chronicle on what happen on board the Cylon ships before and after the attack.
Speaking more about “The Plan”, Kate Vernon who plays the final Cylon, Ellen Tigh, said that she is involved in it. She explained to NY Post, “You’ll definitely have a few ‘ah ha’ moments. But there’s a big chunk of what’s been happening on the show that this movie will show the moments right before. You’ll get a big piece of the puzzle from ‘The Plan.’”

Coming out to speak of the final hours, Katee Sackhoff who plays Starbuck emphasizes that there’s always people assuming that she could still be a Cylon. “I’m just going to go ahead and let them believe what they want because there’s nothing I could say that’s going to convince anyone otherwise,” she said to Hero Complex.
With three more episodes to go “Battlestar Galactica” is revealing more and more about the disturbing truth. Apart from losing more crew after Hera, it is revealed that Galactica is dying. The episode will run March 6 on Sci Fi.

Recently there has been a talk that Universal has been in negotiations with Glen A. Larson to write and produce a big-screen version of the series. It is however, will not be a stretch of the series but rather made in a new medium. The studio is expected to make an official announcement in the coming weeks.
